Lisa is also a member of Mayor Rick Kriseman’s Transition Team and served as President of the Council of Neighborhood Associations.
Lisa Wheeler-Brown has been an outspoken advocate against violence after her son, Cabretti, was murdered in 2008. In order to protect other parents from living her tragedy, Lisa is dedicated to helping families get justice for family members lost to senseless violence and is a tireless advocate in her efforts to keep St. Petersburg’s children and families safe from harm. Lisa has worked closely with law enforcement and the community to combat the “no snitching” code of silence which cripples law enforcement efforts to catch criminals and her efforts have led to the capture of dangerous criminals to keep St. Petersburg safe.
